Saltillo District Master Plan, Austin, TX
MAS principals prepared the master plan for this transit-oriented development project, immediately east of Downtown Austin on an 11-acre tract owned by Capital Metro. The goal of the transit agency and the City was to create a plan that could support the planned commuter rail transit line passing along the edge of the site, while creating an engaging mixed-use activity center that could act as the focal point for the surrounding neighborhood. The master plan includes a significant program of affordable housing, community-oriented uses, and neighborhood-serving retail shops and restaurants.
