McCann Adams Studio is an Austin-based urban design firm led by architects Jana McCann and Jim Adams. The firm focuses on designs for new communities, revitalization strategies for existing districts, transit-oriented development planning, and public space design. We have worked on projects around the US as well as internationally in cites as varied as Vancouver, Moscow, Manila, London and Paris. In Texas our work includes the Mueller Redevelopment, the Second Street Retail District, the Downtown Austin Plan, and the Waller Creek District Master Plan.

Formerly ROMA Austin, an affiliate of San Francisco-based ROMA Design Group, McCann Adams Studio has extensive experience in working with both public and private clients on a wide range of complex urban projects. We strive to integrate all considerations that make a place viable and engaging. We do not subscribe to formulas, but instead seek to harness the many forces that influence a project to orchestrate a unique and appropriate framework that can result in positive change for our clients and the broader community.  MAS is certified with the City of Austin as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE), and as an historically underutilized business (HUB) with the State of Texas.
