Michelle Slattery is a Senior Associate and Landscape Architect at McCann Adams Studio. Michelle is involved in all aspects of the firm’s work, including master planning, public space and park design and multi-modal street design. Projects include the Downtown Austin Plan and the Mueller and Highland Mall Redevelopments. In 2018, Michelle was integral in the creation of the Shoal Creek Trail: Vision to Action Plan. Michelle reinforces MAS’ interdisciplinary approach to projects and is particularly passionate about preservation of cultural landscapes.

Education & Work Experience: Michelle received a Master of Landscape Architecture in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies in 2005, both from The University of Texas at Austin. This prepared her to join ROMA Austin in 2008. ROMA Austin became McCann Adams Studio in 2010, where Michelle has been an integral part of the firm, taking on new challenges daily.

Associations & Memberships: Michelle is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Congress for the New Urbanism, the Austin History Center Association, the Library of American Landscape History, the Brentwood Neighborhood Association, and Shoal Creek Conservancy. As a speaker for the Texas A&M Governor’s School, Michelle gave high school students a better understanding of Urban Design. She has volunteered for The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s What’s Out There Weekend tours in Austin. Michelle joined Preservation Austin in 2009, and as Chair of Inherit Austin, served on the Board of Directors for Preservation Austin from 2015-2017. She has volunteered for and organized several tours and events with Inherit Austin, including the Homes Tour, Dillo Tour, and Somewhere In Time. Michelle currently serves on the Shoal Creek Conservancy Board of Directors and was Chair of the 2019 Shoal Creek Social.
